Terms of Service
Last updated: July 23, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MyBloodTest ("the app"), developed by Joelis labs, UAB ("we", "our"). By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Description of Service
MyBloodTest is a personal wellness tracking application that allows you to record, view, and analyze lab test results, body measurements, and activity data. The app provides features including manual data entry, AI-powered lab report scanning, file import (your own data exports, third-party lab CSV files, and C-CDA / health-record files from patient portals such as MyChart), wellness app integration (Apple Health, Google Health Connect, Fitbit, and Withings), trend visualization, and optional cloud sync across devices.
2. Not Medical Advice
MyBloodTest is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The app displays reference ranges from publicly available reference range sources (ARUP, Mayo Clinic, Quest Diagnostics, Labcorp, WHO, and others) for informational purposes only. These ranges are general guidelines and may not apply to your specific circumstances.
Status indicators ("normal", "high", "low") are based solely on the selected reference range and do not constitute a medical assessment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for interpretation of your test results and before making any decisions related to your wellness.
The AI lab report scanning feature uses automated text extraction and may produce errors. Always verify scanned results against your original lab report.
3. User Accounts and Authentication
On iOS and Android you may use the app without an account for local-only functionality; the web version has no local storage, so you must sign in to use it (see Section 7). To enable cloud sync (or to use the web version), you create an account — using your email address and a password, or by signing in with Google, Apple, or Facebook. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access to your account.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
• Use the app only for lawful, personal wellness tracking purposes
• Only scan or enter your own wellness data, or data you have explicit consent to access (including your children's data if you are their parent or legal guardian)
• Provide accurate information when entering test results
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the app
• Not use the scan feature to process documents you are not authorized to access
• Not abuse the service (e.g., circumventing rate limits, automated scraping)
5. Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use MyBloodTest. By using the app, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.
Child sub-profiles. Parents and legal guardians may create child sub-profiles to track their children's wellness data within their own account. By creating a child profile, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and consent to the collection and processing of the child's wellness data as described in our Privacy Policy. You are solely responsible for all data entered under child profiles and for ensuring its accuracy. Wellness app integration, usage analytics, and AI training data collection are automatically disabled for child profiles.
6. Intellectual Property
The app, its code, design, and content (excluding your personal data) are owned by Joelis labs, UAB. Reference range data is sourced from publicly available reference range sources and is used for informational purposes. You retain full ownership of your personal wellness data.
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, store, and use your data. By using the app, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.
Key points: on iOS and Android your wellness data is stored locally by default, and cloud sync is optional and encrypted; on the web version there is no local storage, so your data is stored in the cloud (Firestore) and you must sign in to use it. On iOS and Android, wellness app imports stay on your device and are not part of cross-device cloud sync; the web version does not offer wellness app imports. In all cases, the only values sent to our AI providers are the specific ones you choose to feed an AI Wellness Insight or doctor-share (see Privacy Policy Sections 3 and 6). When you use AI scanning, the original lab report file is stored under your account so you (and any doctor you share with) can view it later, and is deleted when you delete your account. If you enable Analytics, we collect pseudonymous product analytics across the signed-in iOS, Android, and authenticated web app, plus native crash diagnostics and install/campaign attribution, to improve the product. The current Analytics scope uses a server-generated, Analytics-only account pseudonym for aggregate consenting-account and retention metrics, but never sends your raw account ID, logged values, or test results to Google Analytics. Public web pages remain outside Product Analytics. We do not sell your data.
8. AI-Powered Features
MyBloodTest uses artificial intelligence for three features: lab report scanning (extracting text and values from images or PDFs of your lab reports), AI Wellness Insights (generating a plain-language summary of your wellness data), and AI doctor summaries (a short summary of the results you choose to share via a doctor share link). For these features, the relevant data is sent to one of our third-party AI providers — Anthropic's Claude, Google's Gemini, or OpenAI's ChatGPT (some routed via Amazon Web Services' Bedrock, Google Cloud's Vertex AI, or Microsoft's Azure OpenAI Service). The provider and routing are selected by us per request based on availability, performance, and cost; you do not choose the provider. Our Privacy Policy is the authoritative, detailed description of which providers and platforms process your data.
While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated output may contain errors, miss results, misidentify values, or produce incomplete summaries. AI Wellness Insights are informational only and are not medical advice. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-extracted data before saving it, and you should not rely on AI output for medical decisions. We are not liable for any inaccuracies in AI-generated results.
9. Wellness App Integration
The app can import data from Apple Health (iOS) and Google Health Connect (Android) and, if you connect them, from the Fitbit and Withings cloud services, each with your explicit permission. This data is read-only — we never write to these platforms. The availability, accuracy, and completeness of imported data depends on your connected devices and services, which are outside our control. We are not responsible for inaccurate data from third-party wellness platforms.
10. Service Availability
We strive to maintain the app's availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Cloud sync, AI features, subscriptions, and authentication depend on third-party services (Firebase, Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Apple, Facebook, and RevenueCat) that may experience downtime. Local app functionality works offline regardless of service availability.
11. Usage Limits
Certain features have usage limits that vary by plan:
• AI Lab Report Scanning: Limited number of scans per month (varies by plan)
• AI Wellness Insights: Limited number of insight generations per month (varies by plan)
• AI Doctor Summaries: Limited number of doctor-share summaries per month (varies by plan)
What counts toward your limit. Each request that we successfully send to our AI service counts as one use, regardless of the outcome. For lab report scans, this includes cases where the AI cannot identify a lab report in your image or extract any test results from it. To avoid losing a use, please make sure your photo is clear, well-lit, and shows the entire lab report.
When a request does not count. If your request fails before being processed by the AI — for example, due to a network error or a temporary outage of our AI service — your use is refunded automatically and you can retry.
We reserve the right to adjust these limits — including for paid plans — at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes in advance. Current limits are displayed within the app. Excessive or abusive usage may result in temporary or permanent restriction of access.
12. Subscriptions and Billing
MyBloodTest offers optional auto-renewing premium subscriptions that unlock higher monthly usage limits (AI lab report scans, AI Wellness Insights, and AI doctor summaries) and additional features such as family profiles. A free tier with limited monthly usage is available without any subscription.
Plans and pricing. Premium is offered as a monthly or annual plan, with a Family plan available as a monthly or annual variant. The exact price, billing period, and any introductory or free-trial offer are shown on the in-app purchase screen, in your local currency, before you confirm. Prices may vary by region and may change over time; the current price is always displayed before purchase.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Free trials. If a free trial is offered and you start one, it automatically converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you purchase a subscription during the trial.
Billing and management. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. You can view, change, or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, in your App Store or Google Play account settings after purchase. For web purchases, subscriptions are billed and managed through our payment provider.
Family plan. A Family subscription lets you invite other people to share premium access using an invite code, up to the in-app family limit (you plus your invited members). Each invited member signs in with their own MyBloodTest account; you remain the only billable party. Members lose premium access if you remove them or when your subscription ends.
Refunds — App Store / Google Play purchases. These purchases are billed by Apple or Google under the applicable store's terms, and the store's refund policy applies. You can cancel at any time from your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. To request a refund, use the store's refund process, or email us at support@mybloodtest.app and we will help where the store allows us to.
Refunds — web purchases (mybloodtest.app). Sold by Joelis labs, UAB, company code 307655634, VAT LT100020466414, Girulių g. 10-201, LT-12112 Vilnius, Lithuania.
•14-day refund. Email support@mybloodtest.app within 14 days of any charge — first purchase or renewal — and we will refund it in full, no questions asked.
•Cancelling. Cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues to the end of the period you've paid for.
•After 14 days, charges are non-refundable except where required by law.
•EU/EEA consumers: this meets or exceeds your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal.
Your use of subscriptions is also subject to the terms of the applicable app store, including the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions or the Google Play Terms of Service.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MyBloodTest and Joelis labs, UAB shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to:
• Wellness decisions made based on information displayed in the app
• Errors in AI-extracted lab report data
• Data loss due to device failure, cloud sync issues, or account compromise
• Inaccurate reference ranges or status indicators
• Inaccurate or incomplete data from wellness app integrations
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Joelis labs, UAB from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
15. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to cloud features if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time. Upon termination, your local data remains on your device. Cloud data can be exported before deletion or deleted upon request.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the applicable member state where Joelis labs, UAB is established, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
